Gordon, 34. Los Angeles, CA.
LVN, currently in RN program, single dad with twins.
My name is Gordon, and I am an LVN. I have been living in California for about six years now. I started my career in the States as an LVN working in a Hospital. Though I do enjoy helping people, I quickly realized the hospital setting was not for me. Being a single father of beautiful twins, I wanted to be able to spend more time with my children. Working in the hospital, like many other nurses, I had long hours and would be too tired when I got home. This didn’t leave me much time to spend with my kids. With this I decided I would get into Home Health. Home Health offers me flexibility with my schedule, leaving me more time to be with my children. With Home Health I have more one-on-one time with my patients, I get to know them better and have more time to give them my best care. Another great thing about Home Health is that I get to choose which city I work in for the day. Being an LVN is great, but I have made the decision to become an RN and have already started my courses. During the day I am in class and in the evening, I am seeing patients. Scrubfly really helps simplify the process of finding and caring for patients. After class I check the app and see the patients in the area that need care. I choose the ones closest to me and I am off to work.
